Hi all! Ben is helping me start a fun behind the scenes vlog to share some of the fun things we've been working on, especially the newer hardwood backdrop. I've pretty much outgrown a home studio, but finding the perfect studio location is SO DANG HARD. So keep your eyes peeled for another video when I let you know we're moving to a full studio!
This video has been in the makes for a while, as a lot of you have already seen and used the new hardwood backdrop for sessions, but since we shot this footage, I thought it would be great to release it as a test run for vlog content. Let me know what you think!
Okay that's the jist of things, and if you watched the full video, AWESOME! Let me know what you think, or how to make these vlogs more interesting. I'm still learning, so help me do this right!!
This was a beautiful newborn session in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, a very quiet area. Newborn Aiden was a doll. He was absolutely perfect. Only a week old. I love everything about newborn sessions. I love the little details of the baby, and I love soothing the baby. I love everything from opening a new email about an expectant mother to editing the photos. I even make my own newborn outfits, bonnets and headbands. I am constantly looking for a new prop to take home with me. I love the cozy atmosphere of the family's home. Everything becomes quiet and just when I begin photographing the newborn, I hear a quiet sigh, a sniffle, or a gasp of amazement. I have had mommas cry of joy and it makes my heart full. There is so much love in one little room and whats even better is that this is what I call my career. Yes, I am only 21 years old but I already have my career set. I am a newborn, baby photographer and I am over the moon excited about it! The only thing better than being a newborn/baby photographer is being a mom. This is the kind of mentality I have, and to some it might seem a little crazy but I've always wanted a family of my own some day. Being a newborn and baby photographer has perks I tell you! I get to see some of the same babies 5-6 times out of the year. I get to watch them grow and I begin the process of being the family photographer for my clients. Becoming the family photographer means the world to me. I can't wait to meet new babies in the future and have their little hands wrap around my finger and softly *ssh* them back to sleep for more photos.
