Hi! My name is Abigail, but my friends call me Abbey.
I started my photography career right out of high school.
I fell in love with newborn photography from the very start. I still love the challenge that each newborn brings. Each one is unique and will react differently to touch, sound, and smells.
In 7 years of photographing, I have found so many more things to love within this small business.
I love all the snuggles with newborns, all the baby giggles, I love watching dads toss babies in the air (safely) and I love watching moms sweetly hug and kiss babies. On a personal level I love the flexibility in my schedule to work when I want as well.
I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area, in a small town in the suburbs called Western Springs.
I dream about moving to the West Coast, California specifically. My hope is to bring my love for mountains, open fields and portrait photography into a single business. Maybe someday we will move our business to the west coast, but for now I call Chicago my home.
My husband and I were married in August of 2015, at one of my favorite locations to photograph at- Katherine Legge Park in Hinsdale. The day we got back from our honeymoon my husband went and adopted our puppy Kodak as a surprise for me. Kodak is the sweetest (grownup) puppy, who is so loved by my family and loves to meet my clients that come over for sessions at my home studio.
-Dressing up and going out for dinner.
-A dark cup of coffee.
-Jeni’s Ice Cream – (The darkest chocolate specifically)
-Traveling, exploring, hiking, experiencing new places and cultures.
-Early summer and late summer is my favorite time of year. But I appreciate all seasons.
-All puppies. I get a kick out of going to the local dog park.
-I have a Netflix account primarily to continually re-watch The Office. Give me suggestions on what else to watch, please.
