Just a glimpse of how sweet my job is and how wonderful my day was today :) I met with a family that just had this new family member arrive. Hello to you, Chloe <3

Sweet, sweet girl...and a sweet warm summer already.

I have news...

My Fiance Ben and I have signed a lease for a townhouse in Lisle, IL. (!!!!!!!) We are super excited and can't wait to make this place our own. This will be happening on July 15. Were also getting a second car, getting married on August 16 and going to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon! Goodness, my life is becoming busy.

But the moving out of my house is the biggest change so far...I have never moved anywhere before in my life. I have lived in the same home all my life. This summer is starting to have some bittersweet moments. Moving out of my childhood home is definitely one of those moments. Its going to be chaotic. Its going to be slightly insane...and I just might shed a tear ;)

Summer | Chicagoland Maternity Photographer

Not only does it feel like summer with these warm temperatures and humid rainy days but it looks like summer! And not only by the green grass and summer outfits but my very wonderful clients name is Summer as well. (Hehe)

I got to know this beautiful family just last weekend as they are about to double in children :) with another girl on the way!  So big congratulations to this family! I can't wait to meet with them in about a month once their little one arrives. The best part about my job/ reason #495081 : My maternity sessions are  usually the beginning of a wonderful journey together! They lead to newborn sessions and some lead to 6 month sessions and 1 year sessions. I have even met with some clients over the years with 2 & 3 year sessions <3 My job is amazing. I get to embark on a journey behind the lens and see families double in size. I see children grow and I get to see the same little ones go from sleepy newborns to giggly toddlers.  (It also doesn't hurt that I add all my clients on Facebook and get to see them grow up as well from videos, posts, etc!)

And its one of my favorite parts of my job :)

Is It Summer Yet? | Chicago Baby Photographer

This summer has been the most amazing summer! Its getting pretty crazy though...If you've been following my blog you'll know that Im getting married August 16 to my best friend Ben! We are also moving after were married to hopefully a townhouse in Lisle. Nothing is set just yet but we are hopeful. Its also been really fun to start thinking about how we'd like to furnish the townhouse as well!

The wedding plans have been coming along! The flower girl dresses and bridesmaid dresses came in! They are beautiful and its making me all the more excited about the wedding :)

And just when things couldn't get more exciting?!...I have applied for my passport and we bought the tickets for our honeymoon!! I know I was telling a lot of people about the possibility of us going to Italy but we've decided to postpone the Italy trip and go to the Dominican Republic instead! Italy although beautiful, would've been more chaotic than a resort/beach trip to Punta Cana. I am still very excited though, and I have become more excited ever since we bought the tickets. Everything is all falling into place.

This past winter, I kept thinking "Once it gets nicer outside everything is going to start feeling more real. Its going to get busy and things are going to go by fast" And wow, ever since its started to feel like summer, that has only because more and more true. I have butterflies just writing all of this down! Almost everything is done for the wedding and I can't believe that its going to happen! When you plan something so elaborate for a long time it almost feels to good to be true but now as were getting closer to the date, I'm feeling nervous!!

In my personal life...this semester of school is officially over! I have never been so relieved for a semester to be over. And I am pretty sure it will be even sweeter when I'm officially done with school altogether.

Now I get to totally focus on my wedding which on August 16, the honeymoon and moving into a new place!!

And editing all of these sweet maternity and newborn sessions :)

Training Days | Abigail Joyce Photography

Hey friends,wrapping up this month's maternity photos and in just a couple more days and I will be heading to Spokane, Washington for my hike. I can't express the excitement I have! I will be with friends and (future) family - Ben my Fiance and his brothers, Mark and Joe along with Allie, and Markus and possibly some more Friends :).

Ben and I have been training for the past couple of weeks and it's been quite intense. Every night I am climbing stairs for 40ish minutes with 20-25 lbs on my back. I hope I am prepared enough for this hike! There will be days on this adventure that I will be hiking for 13 miles per day! It will also be raining most of the time (better than snowing I guess). 1 week from today, I will be on my first plane ride! That's another concern on my mind!! Any advice for a first timer?? This is quite the trip for 2015, my first hike and first plane ride!!

PS.  Aren't these maternity photos just gorgeous?? Aimee, you are beautiful and your family is nothing short of wonderful. There daughter is named Victoria, (which is my sisters name) and what a crazy coincidence that I met up with my sister right after this session?? My sister lives downtown and I picked her up so we could go grab my wedding gown which was ready that day!! I'm so glad I was able to photograph your Maternity Photos!
