We decided on taking newborn photos and after lots of research we loved the airy bright style at Abigail Joyce Studios so we booked a newborn session! I was absolutely amazed by the studio and the level of care and planning to make us comfortable and prepared for the shoot. The studio has tons of dresses for mom to borrow, there was great guidance on how to zen baby out before the session, and we felt at home at the studio. Randi was our amazing photographer and she was such a pleasure to work with. She is so very talented and we’ll have these photos to look back on forever! Randi took time to pose us, helped us settle baby when she was fussy, and wowed us with the stunning final product. The photos turned out so beautiful! We will definitely be back for more family sessions in the future!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Abbey! From the moment she arrived, Abbey made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She was incredibly patient, taking breaks whenever our newborn needed them and giving our toddler the time and space to just be a toddler. Despite our toddler not wanting to sit still, she somehow managed to capture the most beautiful, natural moments that perfectly reflect our family. The photos are absolutely stunning and timeless. A dream of an experience! We’ve used Abbey for maternity & newborn / family photos - both times she made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and wished we could’ve just chatted - you’ll want to hang out with her. The gown closet, props *bow swaddles* and rooms are a DREAM. Really appreciate how she directs & tweaks your poses to help adjust awkward hands and postures and double chins (looking out for you like a big sister). Book her!!!!
A Note from Abigail
In 2012 I fell in love with newborn photography. I saw the amazing beauty each newborn brings into this world. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the evolving craft of newborn portraits.
In 2021 I began building a team who values these precious moments as much as I do. We are a dedicated family centered practice for the amazing families of Chicago with studios in Oak Park, IL and Hinsdale, IL.
While we specialize in newborn photography, our practice is a family-centered one, from expecting couples with our maternity sessions to family groups in our Generational Sessions.
We provide maternity photography to our expecting mothers, children photography as your babies quickly grow up, and family portraits as you document each amazing year.
Getting to know you and seeing your story unfold over the years is an amazing journey, and both myself and my team are honored to be apart of it.
